“Under the Bed” begins with a young child that is afraid to go to sleep because he is afraid of the monster under the bed. In his imagination, he sees the big scary eyes, and sharp teeth. He hears the horrible sounds that go “bump” in the night. His mother soothes him with the hymn, “All Though the Night.” The boy is finally not scared anymore and tells the monster to “Go Away!”
